1. What mobile devices are compatible?
Mobile App is compatible with all iOS 9.x and Android 4.21 (and above) mobile devices
2. Does the user have to login everytime the app is launched?
At the Mobile app login interface, a “Stay logged in?” Tick-box option is available.
When it is ticked, the user credentials and profile are stored locally on the device memory, and everytime time the user launches the app, the user credentials and profile is loaded instantly.
3. What kind of notifications can the mobile app received? Are notifications automated?
The mobile app can receive 2 types of notifications. The first one is a FYI (For your information), an informative update of any status changes of a document which does not require any action from the user. The second one is a FYA (For your action) and requires user action on either to insert or replace an existing page of a document or to index a wrongly indexed field.
All mobile notifications are is generated from Straatos Cloud BPM platform, and configured using Straatos Process Designer during the business process design stage.
4. How much memory does the mobile device needs to have when the device is connected or when it is not connected to any WiFi?
Every document that has been captured (pending or uploaded) are stored in the local memory of the device, the storage space would be equivalent to the number of images of each averagely about 300-400 Kilobytes. However once the document has already been uploaded, the user can choose to remove it from the message list and free the storage space.
5. Who can manage and configure the data extraction and process flow?
Any users that are granted access to CumulusPro Web Admin panel and Straatos Process Designer can manage from Mobile devices scan profiles, user settings to Business Process flow diagrams, business logic, extractions configurations etc.
6. Can images be imported directly from the photo gallery of the device?
Yes, images taken earlier outside the application can be imported directly from the gallery.
7. For imported images, can the application still be able to intelligently processed and crop them?
Yes, it can. The image processing capability of the app can be applied to imported document images as well.
8. Can the mobile app process pre-defined forms?
Yes, any forms (pre-defined or unstructured) that are captured by the mobile app are uploaded to Straatos cloud platform to be processed, and are send back to the mobile app (or web validation client) for validation as defined in the process flow by Process Designer.
9. How does the app differentiate whether the user has access to one document type of many document types?
User security access (in Roles) to specific document types are configured in CumulusPro Admin Panel.
10. How many index fields can the mobile app feature?
There are no technical limitation to the number of index fields per document type, however a user may get cumbersome in filling up too many in a mobile device.
11. When the user is in offline mode, how does the app know which document types are available or what index fields needs validation?
When the user selects “Stays logged in?” Option, user credentials and profile from the last successful login session is stored locally, which means all the document types and index fields that were available to him in his last session will be made available in offline mode. In the next session when the user is online again, these profiles will be updated automatically.
12. On which Android devices does the mobile app run?
The Mobile App and SDK should run on most Android devices. We have tested our app with the following devices:
